John Schwallie, MBA, CPA

John is a CPA with more than 30 years of experience in building and restructuring businesses in the U.S. and overseas, particularly in fast-growing industries.

He began his career as chief financial officer of TV Nova, the first national private broadcast station in the Czech Republic. At TV Nova, he led the development of the station’s finance team and reporting systems, and served as the primary financial liaison to its parent company, Central European Media Enterprises (CME), during CME’s successful IPO. John was subsequently promoted to CFO at CME, where he helped raise public equity and secure private investment to launch new stations across Slovakia, Slovenia, Poland, Ukraine, and Romania.

After returning to the U.S., John served as CFO and COO of Wild Brain, a San Francisco–based animation studio, before founding a consulting firm to work as an interim executive for investors and their portfolio companies.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Skidmore College and an MBA from Cornell University. John lives in Boston with his wife and three children.
